gab going deep with that ass

Yet another conversation with May had me thinking. This time, about meditation. I've been loving our late night, sometimes mid-afternoon pow-wows. We're both at turning points in our lives, so our conversations are therapy. Being there for her helps me reflect on my own situation. And of course when I start complaining about my own issues, she always giving it to me straight.

Meditation was the 'unkown' my mom always talked about. And I think i've finally reached the stage in my life when my understanding is finally catching up with her teachings. When you realize the most important thing is to take care of yourself. Your physical body and of course your soul and your spirit... your essence. Nourish yourself. Be aware of yourself. Be honest with yourself. And be responsible for yourself. Live life in a state of being awake, not in a fog. Not accusing or blaming. And not in denial. It's all attainable through meditation or mindful relaxation whatever you chose to call it. Use your energies to mend what is broken.

It's an inner peace that takes time and commitment to accomplish, but once you're willing you can do. It requires courage to face the truth that will come to you, strength to seek change, patience to achieve your goals and faith to keep doing the work.

"From nothing comes truth. From truth comes courage. From courage comes change. All require faith."
